While his name remains part of the title, Tiger Woods will not appear on the cover of 'Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters,' which debuts on March 29th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. According to Reuters, Woods has been replaced with a yellow flag from the legendary Augusta National Golf Club, which hosts the Masters Tournament. Of course, it's easy to assume that Tiger's scandals off the golf course led to this decision. But EA Sports president Peter Moore told Reuters, "You shouldn't read anything into the fact that Tiger's not featured on the box art...." Woods will, however, appear on the cover of the pricier PS3 Collector's Edition, which is loaded with five extra courses (and costs $10 more). That still doesn't explain why his name appears in such small type across the bottom of the cover, which is why we're inclined to believe Moore about as much as we believed that Tiger was a faithful husband.Friday, January 7, 2011
