Music : Rihanna Breaks UK Chart Record, Matches Elvis Presley

With her Drake-featuring single 'What's My Name?' hitting No. 1 this week, Rihanna has made history as the first female solo artist to notch five No. 1 hits on the U.K. singles charts in as many consecutive years. The last solo artist to make a similar record was Elvis Presley, who did so from 1957-63.

While 'What's My Name?' tops the singles charts, the red hot R&B singer's recent album, 'Loud,' is also the No. 1 U.K. album, marking the second time Rihanna has simultaneously owned both the U.K. singles and albums charts, after her mega-hit 'Umbrella' and 'Good Girl Gone Bad' album similarly dominated in 2007

"Another week! LOUD and What's my Name are the #1 ALBUM and SINGLE respectively!!!" Rihanna tweeted about her achievement. "UK you are on FYAH!!! Rah Rah! THANK U! Where my #UKNavy."

In addition to 'What's My Name?,' Rihanna has two other singles, 'Only Girl (In The World)' and 'Who's That Chick,' in the top ten this week, and her album 'Loud,' which dropped in November, has also sold impressively, clearing 900,000 copies in the U.K. alone.

Rihanna recently filmed a video for her next single 'Fly,' which features Nicki Minaj, and will be making her film debut in 2012 with 'Battleship.'
