Rides : 2013 Subaru BRZ starts at $24.000

The Japanese based automaker Subaru is planning to offer its newest sports car, the 2013 BRZ, for a starting price of 24.000 USD.

According to motortrend.com, the 2013 Subaru BRZ will start at 24.000 USD for the entry-level version, which will be named Premium, while the BRZ Limited will cost 27.000 USD. The journalists at motortrend.com apparently know what future owners of the Subaru BRZ Premium will get for $24.000, standard navigation, eight-speaker sound system, aluminum pedal pads, six-speed manual transmission, leather shift knob and handbrake, tilt-telescope leather wrapped steering wheel, 17 inch alloy wheels and a Torsen limited-slip differential, while for an extra 3.000 USD, customers will get Alcantara upholstery, foglights and a rear lip spoiler, among other things.
As a reminder, the 2013 Subaru BRZ has been officially presented at the 42nd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show, being designed as a joint project between Subaru and Toyota Motor Corporation. The 2013 Subaru BRZ is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine which is identically tuned as the one found on the Toyota GT 86, developing a total output of 197 horsepower at 7.000 rpm and a peak torque of 151 lb-ft available at 6.600 rpm. Power is being sent through the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with a short stroke shift level. An optional six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifts is also available.
