units of the 2011 – 2012 Sienna minivans will be affected by a recent
recall, according to the Japanese based automaker Toyota, because of
failing to disclose proper maximum load.
“Toyota is recalling certain model year 2011 through 2012 Sienna vehicle for failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standard number 110, ‘tire selections and rims’. These vehicles do not meet the requirement for displaying the correct vehicle capacity weight as the rated load for the combination of cargo and occupants”, said the NHTSA in its official press release.Owners of the above mentioned model will have to make a trip back to the dealerships where Toyota will “take care of the problem” free of charge. The Japanese based automaker didn’t announce an official date of when the owners will be notified.
