Rides : Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet might hit the production line

The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to put the S-Class Cabriolet into production.

Mercedes-Benz is taking its battle with the main competitors in the luxury segment on a whole new level and the popular S-Class model might just get a new brother, in the shape of a drop-top version which is expected to wear the “Cabriolet” model. According to a recent report coming from the UK, the car manufacturer is planning to expand its lineup by offering the new model in the nearby future, taking its rivals by surprise and making some money on the way.

“The S-Class is the best luxury car in the world, and we have many surprises in terms of technology for the new model. It will deliver something very different to its rivals – and it will have a much broader range”, said Uwe Ernstberger, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class program manager.

The new model coming from Mercedes-Benz is also expected to join the sedan with the long wheelbase model, which is replacing the Maybach, and also the two-door version S-Class Coupe, which is replacing the current CL-Class. Sadly this is all we have for now on the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Cabriolet but more details are expected to emerge once the model will be officially scheduled for the production line.
