Ford has recently announced the starting price of the 2013 Taurus, which has been set at 39,995 USD.

According to the North American based automaker, the 2013 Ford Taurus starts at 39,995 USD, including a $750 destination charge, which is actually 1,045 USD more than the outgoing model. The refreshed version of the Ford Taurus can be ordered with a new performance package, which is adding track-tuned calipers, performance brake pads, sport-tuned suspension and painted 20-inch wheels, but the extreme duty cooling system, ESC with “true off” mode and the performance summer-compound tires can also be ordered.
Across the board, all new Taurus models will receive a large brake master cylinder with revised booster tuning, resulting in a shorter pedal ratio and dramatically improved pedal feel. Brake friction material has been upgraded for improved fade resistance and performance”, as Ford says.
The entry-level version of the 2013 Ford Taurus is powered by a 3.0 liter V6 EcoBoost engine, which is developing 365 HP, with AWD and SelectShift gearbox. The biggest changes for the 2013 Taurus come with the 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine, which has just been added to the lineup, to produce 237 horsepower and help the model to achieve 31 mpg on the highway.
