The Italian based automaker Lamborghini is planning to introduce the replacement for the Gallardo supercar next year.
“We always say that design is not an evolution but a revolution, and this will be the philosophy of the follow-up to the Gallardo”, as the company’s CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, told carandriver.com, also adding that the model will come in 2013.As a small reminder, the Lamborghini Gallardo has been in production ever since 2003 and it’s being assembled in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, coming in two body styles: two-door coupe and two-door spyder, with a mid-engine, four-wheel drive layout and rear-wheel drive for the Valentino Balboni Edition. The Gallardo is available with two engine choices, 5.0 liter V10 and 5.2 liter V10, being 4,345 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,165 mm tall. More details on the successor will be announced close to its debut.
