DJ : Luciano gives and receives lessons on music, technology, and life in a short documentary with South Africa's Bridges for Music

It’s an interesting thing that even in a place like South Africa, the music scenes between town and country rarely intersect. Leave it to Bridges for Music, then, to help integrate not only the sounds of South African urban centers with their outlying townships, but also to foster a relationship between artists from the US and Europe and those making their homes in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and other metropolises. Geneva’s Luciano is one such DJ who, earlier this year, made the trip to both entertain and educate South African youth in Langa and Soweto townships on the topic of dance music. But, as is often the case, it turned out that Luciano himself received just as much of an education. He not only participated in a series of free workshops with Vinny da Vinci, Ryan Murgatroyd, and Ready D but also performed with the likes of legendary SA house DJ Black Coffee, Kid Fonque, Thibo Thazz, and plenty others.
