Rides : Check Out The BMW 335i E92 by Alpha-N Performance

BMW 335i E92 by Alpha-N Performance revealed

The German aftermarket specialists at Alpha-N Performance have recently pulled the wraps off their latest creation, an upgrade package for the BMW 335i E92.
Even if the new generation of the BMW 3-Series has hit the market, in the four-door sedan form known as the F30, that doesn’t mean that the previous version is garbage, especially the two-door coupe E92 in the 335i version. Alpha-N Performance has just proven that the BMW 335i E92 still has something to prove so the two-door coupe has been put on a diet and managed to lost no less than 250 kg, to a total of just 1,430 kg. The discreet body kit works in just great with the vehicle’s exterior design but the most significant change can be found under its hood.
According to Alpha-N Performance, the BMW 335i E92 in question has been fitted with a larger intercooler, bigger turbos and a new exhaust system, along with a remapped ECU, taking the total output of the vehicle to an impressive 450 horsepower. The new ponies will be handled just well thanks to the new pistons and new crankshaft, and let’s not forget the 380 mm discs for the front wheels with six pistons. Sadly the tuner didn’t announce a price for the upgrade package just yet.

Rides : BMW Recalls The 2012 3-Series F30

Recall roundup: 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

The German based automaker BMW has recently announced a recall for the new generation of the 3-Series, codenamed the F30, because of a problem with the front headrests.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 7,600 units of the 2013 BMW 3-Series F30 will have to be taken back to the dealers because of a problem with the front headrests. The NHTSA is saying that the front headrests may unexpectedly move down and in case of a crash the risk of injury is being increased. Deliveries of the new generation BMW 3-Series have also been stopped on the affected vehicles since the 27th of April.
“They have front seat head restraints that exceed the downward movement limit of 25 mm in the highest position. In the event of a vehicle crash, the head restraint may unexpectedly move down slightly if it was adjusted to the fully extended position, increasing the risk of personal injury”, as the NHTSA is saying in its recalls summary of the problem.
The affected vehicles have been manufactured between the 19th of October 2011 and the 18th of March 2012. BMW said that no reports have been received of accidents or injuries related to this recall. Owners can contact BMW at 1-800-525-7417.
