Rides : BMW M6 Gran Coupe spotted testing

A myriad of official official pictures and video means we already know what the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe looks like, and we already know the base-model 640i variant will cost $76,895. The top slot, however, will be taken by the M6 Gran Coupe and it is in barren polar areas still preparing for primetime.

BMW's challenger to rob from the piggy bank of the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 gets the expected M treatment with muscled-up additions front and back and quad exhaust pipes. It will stand over the middle-tier 650i and its 4.4-liter V8 good for 445 hp and 480 lb-ft. The M6 Gran Coupe will use the same turbocharged V8 as the M5 and M6, doling out a minimum of 560 horsepower with rumors suggesting perhaps 580 hp.

Rides : BMW M6 Gran Coupe To Get 580hp?

BMW M6 Gran Coupe Gets 580hp?

According to some internals from BMW the M6 Gran Coupe is on the company’s roadmap.
The third iteration of the 6-Series after the two-door Coupe and Convertible models will most likely be called the 6-Series GT or the 6-Series Gran Coupé and will reach showrooms in the first half of 2012.
At the exterior, the new 6 Series Gran Coupe is quite a bit longer than the 6-series coupe and convertible.
Now, according to 6post.com, the new BMW 6er Gran Coupe will receive the all new and much discussed Tri-Turbo diesel which will be found in the BMW X6xDrive50d with 354PS. Originally intended but dialed back for the M5 due to the conception of the Gran Coupe , Gran Coupe will be the flagship M model.
To achieve its full potential, the engine will be mated to a similar transmission found in the new M5, a 7-speed DCT.
