It's hard to say just what caused the violent ending in this pickup
refilling video – a KTLA rebroadcast from an unidentified news source –
but the result is terrifying. In light of this catastrophic clip, we'd
be remiss if we didn't mention that CNG vehicles have an excellent
safety record here in the US.

FL man injured after attempting to show skills to football recruiters by jumping moving car

There are the right ways to get noticed by football scouts and there are the wrong ways. Performing life-threatening car stunts to show your skills are definitely in the latter category, but Bladimir Barreto, 19, of Palm Bay, Florida, decided that videotaping himself jumping over a moving car was an appropriate way to display his vertical jump to college recruiters. Instead of landing a spot on a college football team, though, Barreto landed himself in the hospital with serious injuries.
Attempting to mimic stunts performed by a certain crazy Swede and Kobe Bryant, Barreto had one of his brothers drive toward him in a '80s Honda Accord while another brother recorded it all. Instead of clearing the sedan, it looks like Barreto mistimed his jump, resulting in him being hit by the car and thrown into the air. The YouTube video description says that he suffered broken legs and a serious head injury, but USA Today did not give specifics, only saying that he was conscious when life-flighted to a nearby hospital.
The report does say that the police charges are pending against the driver of the car for not having a valid driver's license and reckless driving.
Warning: While not overly graphic, the video below could be disturbing to some viewers. And, obviously, don't try this at home.

This is what happens when you play with cigarette lighters while pumping gas

It's easy to forget just how dangerous fueling your vehicle can be. Drivers visit gas stations hundreds of times a year, and topping off the tank is as second nature as tying your shoelaces.
However, that doesn't mean gasoline has suddenly turned less flammable. Just ask one absent-minded guy in Australia. While waiting for the pump to shut off, the gentleman checked to see if his cigarette lighter was in working order. Sure enough, a small flame popped up with the first flick of the flint, and the fumes from the gushing gas pump quickly followed suit.
Our wicked fire-starter took the time to hop his open car door instead of simply closing it, and sprinted right past a clearly visible fire extinguisher in an attempt to save his own skin. Fortunately, the station operator had the presence of mind to shut down the pump, and a bystander took it upon himself to douse the flames with water. Authorities say everyone involved was only seconds from going extra crispy.

Car Porn : Watch David Coulthard catch a speeding golf ball in an SLS AMG Roadster

So we told you a few weeks ago about former F1 hotshot David Coulthard racing down a golf ball in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, setting some sort of goofy world record in the process. Well, now we have video of the feat.
While you watch the footage, we encourage you to consider just how a hybrid of golf and racing might work. We think it could have legs as a professional sport, although the feasibility of setting up such a tour would be daunting – clearly golf courses wouldn't be too keen on the fairway damage. Still, the TV broadcasts would be so much more exciting than tuning into the PGA and automakers sponsor much more ridiculous stunts.

Video : Guy Gets out of Paying a parking ticket by cutting off the meter

Just another day on another street in New York City: a meter reader and a random contractor shouting it out about a parking fine and the tardy insertion of a quarter. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, the contractor's partner is really, really not happy about getting this ticket. He doesn't shout because he's the strong, silent type. Instead, he lets his power saw do the talking for him.
It's one way to exercise your conviction about a parking ticket, it's another thing to earn one. We're not 100-percent sure this cutting encounter is real, but that doesn't change how watchable it is.

VIDEO: This Angolan puppet has more dance moves than you
As if I needed another reason to have puppet envy, this video from Angola’s Got Talent shows a puppet shaking his ass and gyrating like no one’s business. Impressive.

As far as a puppet goes, that was seductive. He popped his ass with the strength of a thousand black strippers.
I’m no puppet fetishist, but I was absolutely contemplating how quickly that puppet could get me off. You’re telling me this isn’t a video you’d pull up on YouPorn? You’re lying.

VIDEO: Skier Saves Himself From Avalanche By Deploying an Airbag
Last week a tipster passed along this crazy POV video of a skier surviving an avalanche while helisking in Alaska. His saving grace? Wearing a piece of backcountry gear called the Backcountry Access Float 30. The avalanche survival backpack includes a reusable 150-liter airbag that self-inflates behind the head and shoulders when pulled by a rip cord. The purpose of the airbag is to keep a skier toward the top of the snowpack during the event of an avalanche, rather than being swept up and buried alive by the swift-moving snow. More details and the video after the jump.
Here's what Jeff Wyshynski, the skier who filmed the video, had to say about the rescue operation immediately following the avalanche. Via Vimeo:
This is just a 10 min video from my helmet cam. I provided it out of public interest and education on the use of emergency equipment. It only shows my limited perspective and only for a short time. Firstly, the operation was not too laid back. To the contrary, there was a heli over my head within seconds. If you listen to the soundtrack, the first question I was asked regarded my status to which I answered calmly and coherently that I was not injured. By the time I skied back to the guide, it was well established that I was ok, the priority switched to the other 2 skiers on the top, who needed to be brought back safely. After they were, I was flown to base for another health check.
Raw Footage - edit to follow from Jeff Wyshynski on Vimeo.
