Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C
Usually you find us complaining about vehicles that are sold in Europe that we don’t get on the stateside. Well, here is one that is only available in Japan that we wish we had in the United States. Meet the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C, the Spec C meaning more performance than the original Impreza WRX STI.
The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C gets a bunch of upgraded features including chassis modifications, engine upgrades, a lightened body and some visual modifications.
The twin scroll turbocharger gets an upgraded ECU (engine control unit), which increases the maximum torque, provides a quicker response and improved acceleration. The 2.0L 16-valve 4-cylinder turbocharged now produces 304-hp with a maximum torque of 317 lb-ft of torque. Weight is reduced with the help of an aluminum engine hood, laminar window glasses and a downsized battery. The front and rear suspensions have also been upgraded for better driving control.
