Announcing a new Mustang edition is a lot like announcing a new jail sentencing for Lindsay Lohan, but when the name, Steve Saleen, is stamped on such an announcement, we take notice. SMS Supercars is releasing a line of label Mustangs ranging from the mid-thirty thousand range and up. These editions will be signified by one of three ‘tribute’ label colors, either white, yellow, or black.
The SMS 302 White Label is a normally aspirated 5.0-liter Mustang, making about 440 horsepower, with the inclusion of a performance exhaust, exterior styling cues, performance suspension, and new ergonomic interior. The total cost of this package is $35,540.
The SMS 302 Yellow Label receives the addition of a power adder in the form of a supercharger, which ups the ante of the 5.0-liter to 545 horsepower. The yellow label receives all the visual cues and handling upgrades of the white label, plus a slick set of 19” SMS wheels. The total cost of this package is $45,540.
The upper echelon SMS 302 Black Label will be the ultimate Mustang, featuring an advanced aerodynamic body kit, choice of alternative paint schemes, S4 suspension, SMS leather interior, and 575 galloping ponies. The Black Label has been designated their, if you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it label, considering its total price has yet to be announced.
