We all know that VW wants to become nr1 world automaker. Audi is expected to play a big part in that march to global domination, and a rumoured A9 may be the next step.
Although unconfirmed, Car Magazine says the range-topping model would be based on the A8 and built alongside the R8 at the company’s factory in Neckarsulm, Germany.
Structurally, the sleek A9 is said to be eye-catching according to sources who’ve seen the initial design sketches. A soft-top conversion is in the plan, which should hit the market in 2015, six months before the next-gen Mercedes CL cabriolet.
