Rides : New Mercedes MLC to rival the BMW X6

New Mercedes MLC to rival the BMW X6

The German car manufacturer is planning to introduce a new model to its SUV range, the MLC, to rival the BMW X6.
The success of the SUV-coupe X6 could soon be shared by Mercedes with the production of the new MLC model.
Following the lines of BMW’s X6, the Mercedes MLC could benefit from the M-Class all-wheel drive without the special off-road cababilities.
Even though its exterior design is very close to BMW’s X6, Mercedes-Benz says the SUV-sport is based on the CLS and on its M-Class.
The new model from Mercedes can also benefit from engines ranging from 265 HP to the AMG 544 and, according to Autobild, customers of the future MLC will have to pay about 62.000 pounds for the entry level.
Being based on the M-Class’s exterior front design and on the X6’s rear, the new MLS SUV-sport from Mercedes is scheduled to be launched, according to Autobild, in 2014, with a possible previous official appearance during an international auto show.
