Rides : Maserati Gran Turismo and Quattroporte recall

The Italian car manufacturer Maserati has announced a recall of its Gran Turismo and Quattroporte models which will affect 763 vehicles.

After the Audi R8 supercar being recalled just a few days ago, two other supercar models, this time with the “Trident badge” on them, the Gran Turismo and the Quattroporte, will have to make a trip to the dealerships.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the tie rods, a part of the vehicles’ steering mechanism, will have to be replaced. The recall will affect 763 cars sold in the US and manufactured in 2009.
No accidents, injuries or deaths have been reported until now because of the steering mechanism and an official date on which the customers will be announced to make a trip to the dealership isn’t known yet.
This isn’t the first recall involving the two Maserati models and in 2007 718 Quattroportes have been recalled because of a problem with the ABS/ASR system while the Gran Turismo has taken another trip back to the dealership in 2008, when 56 vehicles were recalled for airbag and ECU problems.
