Success isn’t everything in the automotive industry and the Porsche automaker has to learn that the hard way, probably losing some customers in the process with its recall round-up.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, about 10 percent of the US cars, two-door versions made from May 31 to June 10 have this defect, but no accidents, injuries or deaths related to this problem have been reported.
The Stuttgart based automaker hasn’t officially announced when customers will have to make a trip to the dealership to fix the problem, but Porsche will most likely start sending letters this month.
The best-selling Porsche in North America is the Cayenne, which isn’t part of the recall, and the German manufacturer managed to sell 18.310 cars this year in the over-seas auto market.
