The
North American based automaker Ford is planning to present the 2013
Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.
Power to the 2013 Ford Mustang GT500 Convertible is expected to come from a V8 engine, but there’s no official word yet on the output or the performance. As a reminder, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe, revealed at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, was powered by a 5.8 liter aluminum-block supercharged V8 engine which was developing a total output of 650 horsepower and had a peak torque of 813 Nm (600 lb-ft), mated to an upgraded six-speed manual transmission, which was offering the model a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).
