The
2013 Scion FR-S, or the Toyota GT 86, has been officially unveiled
during a special event in Los Angeles held last night, and the first
official details and images of the model have been revealed.
According to the manufacturer, the Scion FR-S is powered by the same engine as the Toyota GT 86, the 2.0 liter, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder unit, treated with Toyota’s D-4s direct and port injection system, developed by Subaru, generating a total output of 197 horsepower and having a peak torque of 205 Nm (151 lb-ft), sent to the rear wheels with the help of a six-speed manual transmission. The front to rear weight ratio is 53:47, with the vehicle having the same low center of gravity, just like its Toyota brother.
