Rides : Cadillac ATS to be unveiled ahead of Detroit Motor Show

After teasing its upcoming model for a while, Cadillac has decided to unveil it ahead of its official Detroit Motor Show debut.

The North American based automaker Cadillac is planning to unveil its ATS model one night before the Detroit Auto Show press days, on January 8, 2012, and the model is one of the most expected vehicles to come from the over-seas auto market, especially because it will hit the dealerships in mid-2012. The Cadillac ATS will have some serious competition in the luxury segment from the main German automakers and not only, but it will definitely become a best seller in the United States.
We still don’t have any official details about this model but rumors say that it’s most likely that the Cadillac ATS will feature rear-wheel drive technology and it will be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged engine which might be based on a 2.0 liter unit. The Cadillac ATS will go against vehicles like the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4 but more details on the upcoming model will be released by General Motors when the vehicle will make its official debut at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show. Besides the ATS, GM will also bring the Buick crossover at the same automotive event, along with the Chevy Sonic RS (Aveo RS).
