BMW
has recently announced a series of changes for its X3 and X5
crossovers, where the first one, in the xDrive28i version, will get a
2.0 Turbo engine, while the second one will come with a new M Sport
edition.
BMW says that the X3 xDrive28i with the four-cylinder engine can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the previous unit, while the fuel consumption averages 7.5 liters / 100 km (37.6 mpg UK / 31.3 mpg US) and the model is emitting just 175 g/km of CO2, compared to the six-cylinder’s 9.0 L/100 km and 210 g/km of CO2.
Besides changes to the small X3, BMW has also announced that the X5 will get a new M Sport Edition, which will be available for all engine variants and it will include an aerodynamic body kit, a sports-tuned suspension, xenon headlights, 20 inch alloy wheels, sport seats, anthracite roof liner, M steering wheel with paddle shifters, stainless steel pedals, piano black trim and M-brand door sill plates. There is no official word on the price list yet.
