The
North American based automaker Ford has recently announced a recall for
the Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles, because of an issue with
the head restraints.
The NHTSA says that in the event of a crash, the head restraint might not provide the required strength, increasing the risk of an injury. The head restraints and the second row of seats will be fixed or changed free of charge and owners of the two models have already been notified. Ford says that the recall will begin on February 20, 2012, and owners can contact Ford Motor Company at 1-866-436-7332 or the NHTSA safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
