Rides : Bentley EXP 9 F SUV – more images released

The Bentley SUV, the EXP 9 F, has been once again placed into the spotlights, this time with the company releasing more official images with it, along with some interesting powertrain details.

Even if there is no official word on putting the Bentley EXP 9 F SUV into production just yet, the luxurious crossover is expected to come with a 6.0 liter W12 engine, which will develop a total output of 600 horsepower and an impressive peak torque of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). Besides the massive W12, a 4.0 liter V8 unit, the same one which made its debut on the Continental recently, will also be included in the lineup, but the most important one will be a V6 plug-in hybrid, which will allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds and travel up to 30 km on the electric mode.
The manufacturer says that the EXP 9 F SUV’s design has been inspired by the Blower Bentleys from the late 1920s, but the Bentley SU is actually a fusion of crafted luxury and advanced in-car technology, with a 6.0 liter twin turbo W12 engine, which is mated to an eight-speed transmission. The Bentley SUV will become the third model in the company’s lineup, after the Mulsanne and the Continental, once it will hit the market in its final form in 2015. More details on the SUV will be announced close to its launch.
