EMI LAUCH CAMPAIGN TO CELEBRATE DANCE MUSIC

EMI LAUCH CAMPAIGN TO CELEBRATE DANCE MUSIC EMI Music has launched its campaign celebrating the historic development of electronic music.
The campaign, called ‘Electrospective’, celebrates dance music’s early beginnings from 1958 and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop all the way through to the modern-day successes of David Guetta and Deadmau5.
Electrospective will collaborate artists, labels, commercial, technological, digital and media partners and will start with the launch of Electrospective.com which runs through to November 2012. This will include the chance to rediscover electronic music, including key artists, DJ and producer interviews, app launches, merchandise, social and print media activities.
There will also be a series of competitions running through to November, which includes prizes such as a Kraftwerk CD box set, a T-shirt signed by the 50 of the most influential people in electronic music, an original signed Nord Drum and more.
What’s more, a Roundtable event will take place at a London location in July that will play host to dance music’s dig dogs in conversation with early music pioneers discussing a range of topics.
