The German aftermarket specialists at Brabus have recently pulled the wraps off their latest creation, the so-called Widestar 800, during the 2013 Qatar Motor Show.

According to the tuning company, the Brabus Widestar 800 is based on the most powerful version of the G-Class yet, the G65 AMG, and the model is coming with the usual body kit with a new front grille, LED daytime running lights, 23-inch alloy wheels wrapped on 305/35 high performance tires and some other tweaks. The Brabus Widestar 800 is also getting an electrically adjustable Ride Control suspension system, which has been developed with Bilstein.
Brabus says that the Widestar 800 is coming with the 6.0 liter V12 bi-turbo engine, which is producing a total output of 800 HP (588 kW) and it has a peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft), but the torque figure has been limited to “just” 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the permanent all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The Widestar 800 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
