Rides : Porsche unveils Cayman S Black Edition

[VIDEO] Porsche unveils Cayman S Black Edition

Just when we thought we won’t see more of the Cayman, the German car manufacturer Porsche launched a promotional video of the model which is centered on the “black” color and being, of course, a Black Edition.
The Porsche Cayman S Black Edition features bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, exterior mirrors with integrated rain sensors and 19 inch black alloy rims on the exterior, while inside we can find partial leather seats, black trim on the dashboard, instrument dials and gear level, sport design steering wheel and the Black Edition badge on the entry guards.
Being officially released in early May this year, the Black Edition Cayman S is powered by a 3.4 liter six-cylinder engine which is developing 330 horsepower (10 more than the Cayman S), making the car accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds if the unit is connected to the PDK transmission, and will stop at 172 mph.

Rides : Porsche Gayman finally out of the shop

Porsche Gayman finally out of the shop

Some people have their doubts when it comes to their sexual orientation but then again we live in a free world so, theoretically, everybody can choose for themselves.
Even though jokes of the Porsche Boxter coupe Cayman aren’t exactly new and you probably have heard them all, we can’t name this car otherwise than the Porsche Gayman.
China’s increasing economy is no longer a surprise for anyone as giant car manufacturers are now taking their war on the Asian continent. But when you have too much money and you don’t know how to modify your car, for God sakes, don’t paint it pink. Please!
The car presented here, as you probably figured it out already, was caught on the streets of China and its owner should be very proud of the color. If this is his taste in cars I don’t want to know what his favorite music is, or his favorite food.

Rides : Porsche Cayman S Black Edition Revealed

Porsche Cayman S Black Edition Revealed
The next step up from the Cayman S is known as the Cayman S Black Edition: Starting in July 2011, Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is bringing the mid-engine coupé to market in a special edition limited to 500 units boasting even better performance and especially lavish equipment specification.

The Cayman S Black Edition is powered by a 3.4 litre six-cylinder boxer engine with power output increased by 10 hp (7 kW) to 330 hp (243 kW) at 7,400 rpm (an additional 200 rpm). The maximum torque remains unchanged at 370 Newton metres at 4,750 rpm.

Acceleration from 0-62 mph is improved by a tenth of a second to 5.1 seconds with the six-speed manual transmission, and to 5.0 seconds with the optional Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) dual clutch unit. Other costly extras like carbon-ceramic brakes and an adaptive suspension also are on the menu.
As its name suggests, the Cayman S Black Edition is only available in black. It also incorporates a number of unique black interior features and a higher level of standard equipment, including Porsche’s Sound Package Plus, than the Cayman S.
Like the Boxster Black Edition, the darkened Cayman actually represents a savings of several thousand dollars compared to a similarly spec’ed S. For $68,450, the Black Cayman includes navigation, xenon headlights, an upgraded Bose stereo system, and other assorted goodies.
The 2012 Cayman S Black Edition MSRP is $67,500
