Photo : Earth Cam Captures Today's Apocalyptic Skies Over Manhattan

EARTHCAMPIC.jpg
ICYMI: Earlier today the skies over Manhattan turned as black as a dark steer's tuckus on a moonless prairie night, and certain doom hung in the air. The weather was about to turn against us.
For about, like, twenty minutes. Then it lifted and left us with this blinding stark white sky that's out there now, which holds nothing but promises of rain.
But that dark sky sure was something. And reliable EarthCam was there to capture it in this stunning and surreal photo that looks like the poster for Roland Emmerich's next apocalyptic hit.

EDM : Electric Daisy Carnival New York: Day 1 Photo Recap

head-hunterz-edcny2013We spent our first day at EDC NY braving the massive crowd and the scorching heat as it bounced off the asphalt of Citi Field’s sprawling parking lot. Sampling the sounds and styles of the festival’s 5 diversely-curated stages, we found ourselves gravitating most to the Neon Garden tent. Tucked away deep in the corner, techno faithfuls sought shelter from the packed crowd, sweltering heat, and soundbleed that plagued the festival’s other stages.
Hop past the break to see EDC NY through our eyes.
