Today marks the 7 year anniversary of Jam Master Jay's murder. I think I speak for every DJ when I say, he inspired us to do what we do. DJ's if you are booked to spin tonight, nightclub, lounges or even radio mix shows. Please don't forget to pay homage to JMJ.

Beans what's really good???
Last night on Hot 97, "DJ" Kay Slay debuted a diss track by former Rocafella artist Beanie Sigel.

"Beans" apparently has a knot in his chest that he has to "unloosen" in this emotionally driven diss track. Here's one thing musicians, rappers, singers, etc, seem to forget. It's not the music business, it's the business of music. Keyword is Business. If you are not a profitable or marketable product, there is no choice but to sever ties or pull the plug on a project if there is no financial return. Based on what Beans is ranting about in the track, it sounds like he's looking for a friend. He thought Jay was that dude and apparently not. Not defending either but Jay is a BUSINESS MAN not a business man, therefore if it does not make him any money it's not worth any time. It's a sad way of thinking but in business there aren't any friends. Just acquaintances who have the same thing in common, making money. Jay didn't put Beans in jail. Beans did.
