Brett Favre’s days on a football field may be over now, but his days in a courtroom may have just started. Two former part-time employees of the New York Jets, Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole, filed a lawsuit alleging Favre sexually harassed them and ultimately, cost them their job.
The allegations and stories have been out there for awhile so this comes as no surprise. Although the details of some of the text messages are relatively new.
The harassment suit — filed by Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole — claims Favre sought to have group sex with Scavo and an unnamed third therapist. He allegedly texted: “Brett here you and crissy want to get together im all alone.” And a second message cited in the lawsuit said, “Kinda lonely tonight, I guess I have bad intentions.”
According to Scavo, Favre “eyed her like a hanging slab of beef”
“Eyed her like a hanging slab of beef?” I’m sorry, I’m going to need a few moments to get over that line. Listen, I hate Favre as much as anybody, he routinely eviscerated my Lions for an entire decade. But Christina Scavo needs to get over herself. If both her and O’Toole had such a problem with the way they were treated, this would have been an issue years ago.
Instead, they waited for Deadspin.com to drop dong photos of the Wrangler man before they acted. Sorry, your harassment story carries much less weight years later ladies.
If that paints me as a chauvinist, misogynist–so be it.
