Video : UConn quarterback shows off his skills in trick shot video
I'm not familiar with the exploits of UConn Huskies backup quarterback Johnny McEntee, but after watching this video, I think it’s fair to say that scouts out there better keep an eye out on him.
Watch as McEntee performs a variety of trick throws in this video, including a miraculous throw into a bin from several stories high.

Video : Ever Wonder What Mike Vick Sees on the Football Field?
Ever wonder what a quarterback really sees on a football field. Well the NFL offers up a taste of that, strapping a VHoldr ContourHD 1080p camera to Eagles quarterback Mike Vick's helmet during Pro Bowl practice in Hawaii.
We may not get a true sense of the speed at which a real game moves, but seeing Vick fake the handoff to Adrian Peterson, then roll out and hit Jason Witten on the move with a pass is pretty neat to see from a first person perspective.

Sports : Chad Ochocinco wants his 'Johnson' back
More than two years after changing his name, Chad Ochocinco will go back to being Chad Johnson. We’re now all dumber for having that information at our disposal.
Chad told “NFL Live” Tuesday that his time with Ochocinco was done and that he needed to move on.
“I don’t have a choice right now,” Ochocinco said. “I’ve done enough with the Ocho thing.”
If somebody can translate that for me, I’d be more than appreciative. I mean, if he was using the name until he reached some kind of milestone, like 85 touchdowns, I could understand saying he’d done enough with it. Otherwise, this just sounds like the ramblings of a mad man. Given Chad’s history, it’s not all that surprising.

VIDEO: Fans burn and piss on Jay Cutler jersey
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is having a rough 24 hour stretch. After injuring his knee in the 2nd quarter, Cutler went into the locker room to be assessed by team doctors. They thought he could give it a go after halftime but after testing it on the opening drive, he felt some instability. Whether he benched himself or the coaching staff told him to sit is a still a matter of debate. For what it’s worth, Lovie Smith said it was a coaching decision and not Cutler’s—how convenient.
Fans, analysts and players took to Twitter to call out Jay for his toughness–or should I say lack thereof.
Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes:
Cmon cutler u have to come back. This is the NFC championship if u didn’t know!
Former defensive back and NFL analyst Deion Sanders:
Folks i never question a players injury but i do question a players heart. Truth
Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew:
Hey I think the urban meyer rule is effect right now… When the going gets tough……..QUIT..
When Cutler was told his peers were calling him out, he was brought to tears.
Cutler appeared genuinely hurt when asked about the comments, saying: “No comment on that.” He then turned his back to reporters, fiddled with some things on a shelf and bit his lip as tears welled
Well, if words can cause a few sniffles from the Bears quarterback, I imagine this video of fans pissing on his jersey may cause incessant sobbing.

Sports - Video : The Brett Favre “what should I do” Pure Comedy
There are times when parodies are poorly done. Often, the ideas are great but they sorely lack in execution. But we can say without a shadow of a doubt that this Brett Favre parody is possibly the greatest one we’ve ever seen. If you’re confused, it’s a play off the Nike Rise commercial in which LeBron repeatedly asks, “what should I do?”
The clip is just full of awesome and includes a Wrangler wearing Favre slapping asses, taking pics of his dong, and sexually harassing women. So, in a nutshell, a biography of Favre’s last three years in the NFL.
Sports - Excuses, Excuses Tom Brady Needs Foot Surgery
Is that whats really going on up in New England? People are trying to say the Pats lost because Brady has an injured foot that requires off season surgery? Let me ask you a question – is Tom Brady a kicker? Maybe, maybe, if he was a kicker this would be an acceptable excuse for not getting the job donet. Mark Sanchez is in all likelihood gonna get fucking shoulder surgery in this offseason. And you know what he’s doing this weekend? Playing in the AFC Title game. Its football. Everyone is injured. Everyone has surgery. Its just a matter of if you’re an injured loser or an injured winner. Tom Brady is an injured loser.
Seriously Pats fans are just getting pathetic at this point. It used to be fun talking shit back and forth. But its getting to the point where I feel bad.

Sports : Laurence Maroney arrested on drug and firearm charges
Well, it’s been more than a few days since an NFL player was in trouble with the law, so we were long overdue. Denver Broncos running back Laurence Maroney was arrested in St. Louis for possession of marijuana and unlawful use of a weapon according to TMZ.
Cops say while Maroney has a valid “Conceal and Carry” permit — he was arrested for packing the gun while under the influence of drugs.
Maroney was in a car with 5 other people late Monday night when cops say they observed “several occupants” of the vehicle smoking what was believed to be marijuana.
Five of the six people in the car were arrested and three firearms were discovered during the bust … including two handguns and a rifle. It’s unclear which gun cops have associated with Maroney.
Maybe Maroney, a former New England Patriots player himself was a bit upset after the surprising loss to the Jets on Sunday. Or maybe, just maybe he’s just another dumb NFL player who rolls with his friends smoking weed and carrying guns. At the very least I give him credit for actually having a license to carry one. That may end up saving his ass this time.

NFL VIDEO: Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch Scores Incredible Touchdown to Seal Victory Over Saints
This is the first video that's popped up online of Seattle Seahawk Marshawn Lynch sealing victory over the Saints with his incredible fourth-quarter run. Lynch broke about seven tackles to get in the endzone and secure a 41-36 victory. We'll update the video once we find a better one, but for now, here it is...

Sports : Football - Gary Brackett fined $35k for brutal hit on Ken Amato
It appears Gary Brackett’s devastating hit Sunday on long snapper Ken Amato has landed him in the doghouse with the NFL. Specifically to the tune of $35k according to Fox NFL insider Jay Glazer.
If you haven’t seen the hit already, it’s not for the faint of heart. It’s one of those typical crack back blocks you’ll see on a special teams play, except this one definitely looked head-to-head.
Moral of the story? Keep your head on a swivel son.

Sports : Brett Favre wanted a threesome with massage therapists
Brett Favre’s days on a football field may be over now, but his days in a courtroom may have just started. Two former part-time employees of the New York Jets, Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole, filed a lawsuit alleging Favre sexually harassed them and ultimately, cost them their job.
The allegations and stories have been out there for awhile so this comes as no surprise. Although the details of some of the text messages are relatively new.
The harassment suit — filed by Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole — claims Favre sought to have group sex with Scavo and an unnamed third therapist. He allegedly texted: “Brett here you and crissy want to get together im all alone.” And a second message cited in the lawsuit said, “Kinda lonely tonight, I guess I have bad intentions.”
According to Scavo, Favre “eyed her like a hanging slab of beef”
“Eyed her like a hanging slab of beef?” I’m sorry, I’m going to need a few moments to get over that line. Listen, I hate Favre as much as anybody, he routinely eviscerated my Lions for an entire decade. But Christina Scavo needs to get over herself. If both her and O’Toole had such a problem with the way they were treated, this would have been an issue years ago.
Instead, they waited for Deadspin.com to drop dong photos of the Wrangler man before they acted. Sorry, your harassment story carries much less weight years later ladies.
If that paints me as a chauvinist, misogynist–so be it.

Shaun Ellis sued by Seahawks fan for throwing snowball
Two years ago, New York Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis threw a snowball at Seahawks fans who were heckling players as they left the field. Now, one fan wants to be compensated from the physical and emotional distress he received because of it.
According to the lawsuit, Ellis was bitter about the defeat … and as he walked off the field, he “stopped, picked up a large block or chunk or packed snow … and threw it into the crowd” … striking a man named Robert Larsen.
In the suit, Larsen — a Seahawks season ticket holder — claims he had been waving a pro-Seahawks sign … which made him a perfect snowball target.
I’m not a lawyer, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night but I’m not sure what kind of physical injury Larsen sustained when, only moments after being struck with the snow, he lifted it in the air drawing cheers from the crowd.
At best, this is a sorry attempt at a cashWednesday, December 15, 2010
NFL Sunday Ticket Coming To Apple TV?
Market research surveys can certainly be hit-or-miss when it comes to revealing companies' future product plans, but a new one from satellite TV provider DirecTV dug up by Engadget hints at the intriguing possibility of the company's "NFL Sunday Ticket" sports package being made available through the new Apple TV as well as a number of other devices.
According to a tipster, some of the questions asking about potential pricing setups indicated the digital version would be available via currently unsupported devices including internet connected Blu-ray players & TVs, "game machines," Apple TV, Roku and Boxee.
Such a move to push live streaming content to the Apple TV would mark a significant expansion of the device's capabilities. And while the service would presumably be offered as a menu option on the Apple TV in a similar manner to Netflix, the existing NFL Sunday Ticket iOS applications demonstrate how such content could be relatively easily moved to the new Apple TV should Apple decide to open up the platform to third-party applications. In the United States, the traditional NFL Sunday Ticket TV package is available exclusively through DirecTV, making it one of the satellite television provider's key selling points for consumers. In addition to offering access via their set-top boxes, DirectTV also offers "NFL Sunday Ticket To-Go" for both its traditional subscribers and non-subscribers alike, allowing them to view content on their computers and on mobile devices such as the iPad and iPhone.

Jets coach admits to tripping Dolphins player on sidelines
The way the New York Jets have been playing lately, they definitely needed a “leg-up” on the competition. They just never thought it would come in the form of coach Sal Alosi actively participating in plays.
Watch this clip below as Dolphins special teamer Nolan Carroll streaks down the sidelines to cover a punt and cameras catching Alosi red-handed trying to trip him.
Alosi has sinced apologized for the incident releasing this statement Sunday night:
“I made a mistake that showed a total lapse in judgment,” Alosi said in a statement. “My conduct was inexcusable and unsportsmanlike and does not reflect what this organization stands for. I spoke to Coach [Tony] Sparano and Nolan Carroll to apologize before they took off. I have also apologized to Woody [Johnson], Mike [Tannenbaum] and Rex [Ryan]. I accept responsibility for my actions as well as any punishment that follows.
No disciplinary action has been taken as of yet, but you have to expect the Jets and/or the NFL to drop the hammer on him pretty soon. Maybe not an outright firing, but a suspension for the rest of the season seems extremely likely.
Alosi has been working in the NFL as a strength coach for nine years now and as a former player himself in the collegiate ranks, he’s more than aware of what constitutes a cheap shot.
Suffice to say, this one was the lowest of the low.
