For all the Bentley fans out there we have great news: the British manufacturer will unveil an extreme model in March at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. These words came from Wolfgang Durheimer, the new boss of Bentley, who said that the new model will mark firm’s new speed record on sheet ice.For those who don’t know, Bentley announced today that Finland’s four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen drove a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea,
off the coast of Finland, at a breathtaking 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h) to set a new world speed record on ice.
Currently, the most powerful Bentley Continental GT is the Supersports model which is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbo engine delivering an impressive 630 hp and 800 Nm of torque. According to Bentley, the car can sprint from 0 to 96 km/h (69 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, to 160 km/h (100 mph) in 9.6 seconds and has a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h). The Bentley Continental GT Supersport is capable to run on both petrol (gasoline) and E85 bioethanol or any combination of the two.
