Rides : Check Out Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse in Action

Bugatti has released a promotional video of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, a car that debuted back in March during the Geneva Motor Show. It can be considered as a combination between the Grand Sport and the Super Sport versions of the Veyron because it gets the body structure of the former and the performance and visuals of the latter.
While the aforementioned Grand Sport produces 987 hp (736 kW) and 922 lb-ft (1250 Nm) of torque, the Vitesse is capable of outputting no less than 1184 hp (883 kW) and a peak torque of 1106 lb-ft (1500 Nm). To receive the added horsepower, Bugatti fitted the Vitesse’s 16-cylinder engine with four enlarged turbos and intercoolers, while to match that extra power they also tweaked the chassis.
Thanks to these modifications, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is capable of sprinting to 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 2.6 seconds and can hit a top speed of 254.76 mph (410 km/h).

Top speed of 254 mph.

Rides : Toyota Supra Replacement?

Toyota FT-HS Concept

Toyota was once an automaker known for its two-door sportscars and coupes. There was the Celica. There was the Supra. There was the Lexus SC. But while those have all long since departed, the Japanese auto giant is clawing its way back to the territory it once owned.

The Lexus LFA is one heck of a first salvo, and the FT-86 is around the corner. There's a world of space between those models, though, and according to the latest reports, Toyota is planning to fill that space, too.

Rumor has it that, while not officially sanctioned, a team of engineers is working on a rear-drive successor to the Supra, though where the project stands and what future it may have remain big question marks. A second front-drive luxury hybrid coupe is also tipped to be in the works from Lexus, adopting much of its underpinnings from the CT200h.

Before those arrive, though, we look upwards to the LFA. The convertible version has reportedly been postponed if not axed entirely, but word has it that a special edition is to be presented at and named for the Tokyo Motor Show. The model would reportedly be distinguished by bare carbon-fiber panels for the roof and spoiler and a significant price premium over the stock model.

Rides : A look Inside of the Brunei’s Sultan Garage – 1.932 cars

[VIDEO] Brunei’s Sultan Garage – 1.932 cars

Ever thought you would win the lottery and spend all of your money on cars, hookers and a big house? Well this guy didn’t win the lottery but he can still afford more than 1.000 supercars and if the title told you anything, than you probably know what this is about.
On his real name Haji Sir Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, he is the head of small South-Eastern Asian country of Brunei, being also the prime-minister the minister of Defense and the minister of Finance, while his fortune is estimated at 20 billion dollars.
But when you’re a billionaire petrol head what car would you get? Maybe 1.932 cars? Which is exactly what Brunei’s Sultan has, including 531 Mercedes-Benzs, 367 Ferraris, 362 Bentleys, 185 BMWs, 177 Jaguars, 160 Porsches, 130 Rolls-Royces and 20 Lamborghinis. The Bugatti Veyron is a bonus!
Even if he drives one everyday than he would still need about six years to move them all. I wonder what his insurance is or how much does he pay in a carwash.
You can watch the spectacular video below, and even if some say that this isn’t the real Brunei’s Sultan Garage, trust me, it is, look it up more!

Rides : Police grab $2 million worth of cars after Canadian street race

Police grab $2 million worth of cars after Canadian street race
This could be the plot for a movie, "Fast and Furious Canada," or maybe "Fast and Furious, the Young and the Rich."
Police in British Columbia say they impounded $2 million worth of high-end vehicles this week after witnesses reported the 13 cars racing on a metro Vancouver highway at speeds of 125 mph (200 kph).
The high-end race cars included a Ferrari, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, an Audi, an Aston Martin, Nissans and a Mercedes, according to a Royal Canadian Mounted Police press release.
Two of the racers would run side-by-side to block other traffic going in their direction on the highway while the others cars would take off in a race, witnesses told the RCMP.
"These drivers seemed to be looking for attention. Well, they definitely got the attention of police," Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Lower Mainland District Regional Police Service, said in the press release.
What the racers, who police said are all under age 21, won't get is harsh punishment.
"Each driver will be charged with Driving without Reasonable Consideration and receive a violation ticket with a specified penalty of $196. Additionally, these drivers will be responsible for all associated towing and storage charges," according to the RCMP press release.
That's because police didn't actually catch them in the act and acted only on witness accounts. They weren't caught on radar, video or seen by a police officer, Superintendent Norm Gaumont, RCMP officer in charge of traffic enforcement for the Lower Mainland, told the Surrey Now newspaper.
"I know there's a lot of disappointment, wondering why we only charged them with an offence of $196. They fact of the matter is, we have to look at all the evidence we have and what we're able to prove," Surrey Now quoted Gaumont as saying. "That's why we've charged them with driving without due consideration for the public."
If police were able to charge the 13 drivers with more severe offenses, they could have faced forfeiture of their vehicles, according to a Vancouver Sun report.
The RCMP said most of the drivers were operating their vehicles on "N" class licenses, which means they had not yet attained full driving privileges. Only one of the drivers was the registered owner of the car they were driving, Gaumont told Surrey Now.
The drivers included 12 men and one woman, according to Surrey Now. Gaumont told the paper they were on their way to have a meal when they decided to race.
According to the Sun, the vehicles were:
  • 2007 Ferrari 599
  • 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo
  • 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo
  • 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo
  • 2009 Audi R8
  • 2012 Nissan GT-R
  • 2010 Nissan GT-R
  • 2010 Nissan GT-R
  • 2010 Maserati Turismo
  • 2010 Maserati Turismo
  • 2011 Mercedes SL63
  • 2011 Mercedes SLS
  • 2005 Aston Martin DB9

Rides : Bugatti testing hotter Veyron Grand Sport SS

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport SS spy shots

Just how much sport can you dial in to the Bugatti Veyron? It looks like we're about to find out.

In one corner we have the Veyron Grand Sport, the targa-roofed roadster of the epic supercar. In the other, the Veyron Super Sport, the even more powerful version that claims the record for the fastest production automobile. Where they meet is what we anticipated just last week, and could be what we see in this fresh batch of spy shots: the Bugatti Veyron Grand Super Sport. Or Super Grand Sport. Or Super-Duper Sport.

We'll have to wait to find out what it'll be called, but we're expecting output from the quad-turbo, sixteen-cylinder engine to come in somewhere in between the Grand Sport's 1,000 and the Super Sport's 1,200. If you didn't need a toupée before, you probably will after unleashing that much power on your bare scalp.

Rides : The Top 10 Most Expensive Sports Cars

Top 10 Expensive Sports Cars Title

It should go without saying that the average new car buyer is interested in, above all else, value for money. Of course, there are above average (in terms of budget, anyway) car buyers out there who are more interested in things like style, exclusivity and performance. It is for these people that we have compiled the following list of new (or very nearly new) sports cars targeted at people who are incapable of worrying about such trivial things as monthly payments, insurance premiums or fuel costs (A nice problem to have, if you ask us.).

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

The once and future king of the supercars (at least in most statistical categories) has curb-stomped all comers (so far) with its 1,200hp quad-turbo W16 (up 200 ponies from the “normal” Veyron) and 268 mph top speed (an improvement of 15 mph). It’s also tops in terms of MSRP, at a cool $2.4 million. But how often is the best of something not the most expensive?

Ferrari 599 GTO

Ferrari 599 GTO

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is already one of the grandest grand tourers on the market. But what if you added about 50 hp, subtract about 220 lb., and fit it with scores of trick parts from the 599XX track toy? Well, you’d have the 599 GTO, the third car from the Prancing Horse ever to wear that legendary suffix. The 599 GTO is able to lap the company’s private test track one second quicker than the Enzo, and with production limited to just 599, you’re unlikely to see another one outside of a concours or gathering. Unfortunately, all have already been sold, but if you want one on the used market, be ready to bring at least $400,000 to the table.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

Lamborghini seems to change V12 flagships less frequently than Neptune completes a lap around the sun, but there’s a good reason each of the company’s biggest and baddest bulls have such long shelf lives: Topping yourself is hard. But Lamborghini engineers (who have counted more than a few Audi transplants among their ranks for the last dozen-or-so years) have managed to do that with the Aventador LP700-4. The 6.5L V12 is only the second such design in company history, and it serves up 691hp to drive this scissor-door screamer to around 220 mph. But as the old saying goes, “Speed costs money; how fast do you want to go?” In the case of the Aventador, be ready to fork over $387,000.

Pagani Huayra

Pagani Huayra

If you can look past the tongue-busting name (which is shared with an Argentine wind and a famous Argentine race car from the 1960s), you’ll find a lot to like about the Pagani Huayra, successor to the mighty Zonda. The AMG-supplied twin-turbo 6.0L V12 belts out 700hp, while the gullwing doors are guaranteed to seize the attention of onlookers and passengers alike. Just sign on the dotted line for a cool $1.2 million.

Aston Martin One-77

Aston Martin One-77

For better or worse, Aston Martin seems to be releasing a new variant or trim level of one of its models every month. Sure, it must be helping their bottom line, but it puts a sizable dent in the exclusivity of their products. We’re guessing they won’t have that problem with the One-77, a front-engined exotic that, as the name suggests, is limited to just 77 units. The 7.3L bent-dozen generates 750hp, making it the most powerful naturally-aspirated production car engine in history, while the $1.5 million-plus pricetag makes it by far the costliest model in Aston’s current product portfolio.

Porsche 918 Spyder

Porsche 918 Spyder

Pining for a supercar that won’t get you dirty looks on the streets of Berkeley but can’t stomach the range anxiety that’s included with every Tesla Roadster? Has Porsche got a deal for you! For a mere $845,000, you can become the owner of its upcoming plug-in hybrid halo car, the 918 Spyder. With a 4.0L V8 and a pair of electric motors on board yielding a total of 718hp, you can bet this open-air roadster will be a green monster. And if you can’t wait for production to begin 25 months(!) from now and aren’t that concerned about your carbon footprint, you can buy an exclusive 918 edition 911 Turbo S coupe or cabriolet (for an extra $160,700 or $172,100, respectively) to keep you entertained in the meantime.

SSC Tuatara

SSC Tuatara

Shelby Supercars’ UltimateAero briefly held the title of world’s fastest production car before Bugatti snatched it back with the Veyron Super Sport. Now the American supercar company wants to retake the title with the UltimateAero’s recently named successor, the Tuatara. And with its slick Jason Castriota-penned lines and 1,350hp twin-turbo V8, we wouldn’t bet against the Tuatara doing it for them. No prices have been announced, but the last estimate we saw was near-as-makes-no-difference $1 million. But hey, that’s still less than half the tab for a Veyron Super Sport!

Lexus LFA

Lexus LFA

When most people think of Lexus, they probably picture a trophy-wife-skippered RX400h or an ES350 driven by a real estate agent who thinks it (and he) is the shiz. Leave it to the LFA to nuke the fridge housing such perceptions by way of its wild styling and atmo 4.8L V10 that makes 550hp and sounds like a banshee having an orgasm. All this and more can be yours for $375,000. And if you want an even harder-edged LFA (and have an extra $70,000 lying around) you can pop for the Nürburgring Package.

Koenigsegg Agera R

Koenigsegg Agera R

As a land that is associated by many with hot women and hot meatballs, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that Sweden is also home to a company that makes hot supercars. That company is Koenigsegg, and its latest and baddest creation is the Agera R. Its 5.0L twin-turbo V8 produces 1,115hp running on E85, and the lightweight, rear-drive layout stands in sharp contrast to the Veyron’s rather chubby, AWD physique. But the Agera R still commands Bugatti-grade moolah, as in about $2 million.

Hennessey Venom GT

Hennessey Venom GT

The Lotus Exige is a hoot-and-a-half to drive, but what would happen if you stretched the wheelbase, widened the track, and dropped in a twin-turbo’d GM LS series V8? John Hennessey, one of this country’s most prolific tuners, asked that same question. The answer is the Hennessey Venom GT, a 1,200hp, 2,700 lb. Anglo-Texan rocket sled bent on flattening your face and spurring the invention of new curse words. But with an admission price of $895,000, getting the behind the wheel of one is a religious experience few souls will ever have. Such is life in the HOLY-F*CK-THIS-IS-FAST lane
