Rides : 2012 Porsche 911 - Hot Weather Testing in South Africa

An official teaser video presenting the all-new 911 (991) 2012 model has been released by Porsche car manufacturer.

Code named 991, the next generation of the famous 911 model was “caught” by Porsche’s cameras testing in South Africa.
According to the automaker, the new Carrera S will develop 400 horsepower and the 3.4 liter engine of the Carrera, which will be shared with the Boxter S, will produce 350 HP. The variants will be available with a seven-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed PDK, with Launch Control available on both.
The new 911’s wheelbase is longer and it will accommodate the 2016 Hybrid drivetrain and the fuel efficiency has been improved by 12-15 percent.
Customers of the 991 will get a full-length sunroof, 19-inch wheels as standard for the Carrera and 20-inch on the Carrera S.
The 991 S’s Nurburgring lap time is 7.50 m and 8.04 for the Carrera.
