The North American Division of Kawasaki has announced a recall involving the 2011 made of the Ninja ZX-10R model due to problems involving the wiring harness.
“It is possible for a portion of the wiring harness to become pinched between the rear subframe and the rear fender or between the rear subframe and the bolt holding the seat cover. This can damage the harness and wiring and result in a short between wires and the frame or within wires, which could result in the engine stopping suddenly”, as the NHTSA explains.
Even though an exact date hasn’t been officially announced, customers of the 2011 made ZX-10R Ninja are invited to contact Kawasaki at 1-8660802-9381 in order to be guided towards resolving the problems.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a 988 cc 16-valve DOHC engine, which is developing around 200 HP.
