Rides : Range Rover 2011 now available with V8 turbodiesel

Range Rover 2011 now available with V8 turbodiesel

The introducing of the Range Rover to the Malaysian auto market a month ago, with the 5.0 liter super charged V8 engine powering it, left everyone wondering what should diesel-lovers (I can’t believe I said that) do.
But now the luxurious SUV is also available with as a diesel variant, with the introduction of the 4.4 liter V8 engine, which is replacing the 3.6 liter LR-TDV8. According to the Land Rover manufacturer, the new V8 diesel makes 313 PS and 700 Nm of torque, being an improvement of 15 percent in power, economy and acceleration, and a 9 percent improvement in torque, compared with its “older diesel brother”.
Customers of the new TDV8 engine will be happy to know its fuel combined consumption: only 9.4 liters per 100 km. The TDV8 Range Rover will come with a Terrain Response System with a Hill Start Assist and Gradient Acceleration Control, so get ready to take it off-roading and test that torque in its element.
