New Range Rover Sport to debut in 2013
Land Rover is planning to launch a new Range Rover Sport next year and the model is expected to make its public debut in early 2013 during an auto show.
The new Range Rover Sport is base on the same aluminum monocoque as the new generation of the Range Rover and the model is expected to weigh the same as its sister, meaning that the entry-level version, equipped with the V6 diesel engine, should weigh around 2,160 kg, 300 kg less than the current entry-level model.
The base version of the new Range Rover Sport will get the turbocharged V6 diesel engine under its hood, which will produce a total output of 255 BHP and 442 lb-ft of torque, along with the V8 supercharged generating 504 BHP and 461 lb-ft of torque. An upgraded version of this unit is expected to hit the market considering the fact that the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is getting 542 BHP.
A diesel-electric version of the new Range Rover Sport is also in the workshop and the model will get 333 BHP, which will allow it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and emit just 169 g/km of CO2. Rides : 2014 Range Rover leaked

2014 Range Rover leaked

The next generation of the popular British crossover Range Rover, which is expected to hit the market in early 2013 has recently leaked.
The 2014 Range Rover is definitely one of the most important crossovers in the segment and thanks to the guys at autocar.co.uk we now have an idea of how the vehicle will look like. Our source managed to get its hands on what appears to be the first image with the new generation of the Range Rover and the model is almost ready for its future customers, with only minor tests to be made in between now and the time when it will hit the market in early 2013.
The fourth generation of the Range Rover is bringing some significant changes to the model and these won’t come cheap, with the starting price being expected to be set at 65,000 pounds, but this can even go up to 120,000 pounds depending on the options and engine choices. Our source is saying that the 2014 Range Rover will use a new lightweight platform, developed for the XJ by Jaguar, and this will help it save about 400 kg from the curb weight, but this won’t be the only Jaguar contribution and JLR is also expected to fit the model with the new generation of the V6 gasoline engine.
Besides these changes, the 2014 Range Rover might take a huge step ahead with a hybrid version of the vehicle, which is expected to use a V6 petrol burner and an electric motor in order to cut down CO2 emissions to just 150 g/km and also improve the fuel efficiency. The cabin will be fitted with leather on just about everything and the center console will be occupied by a large touch screen display. More details on the model will be announced close to its launch.

[VIDEO] Range Rover Evoque Convertible hits the streets

The Range Rover Evoque Convertible has been placed into the spotlights once again with the manufacturer releasing a video with it hitting the streets.
After being officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible Concept is once again highlighted, thanks to a video which was recently released by the automaker, revealing the model while it’s driving around the narrow streets of London. Even if this is the fourth or the fifth time when the Evoque Convertible ends up in our news, Land Rover still hasn’t decide whether or not the small crossover, in the drop-top version, will be hitting the production line.
As a reminder, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is 75 kg heavier than the standard version and the model can come in either two or four-wheel drive layout. The drop-top has been developed by Gerry McGovern, the Land Rover design director, and his team, and the official is saying that the Evoque Convertible is unique, with a potential of becoming desirable.
The Range Rover Evoque will feature a fully retractable roof system along with a roll-over protection, and the crossover will come with surround cameras, park assist, terrain response, infotainment with 8-inch dual view touch screen, Meridian audio system and 21-inch wheels. Rides : Range Rover Evoque by Startech

[PHOTO GALLERY] Range Rover Evoque by Startech

The German aftermarket specialists at Startech have recently released more images with their latest creation, based on the Range Rover Evoque.
Even if the Range Rover Evoque “made” by Startech isn’t quite what you may call “new”, with the crossover already being presented at the Dubai International Motor Show last month, the creation is once again placed into the spotlights by the Brabus sub-brand after releasing some new images, which, in fact are making it even more irresistible. As you can see from the photo gallery below, the Range Rover Evoque offered by Startech is still coming with an aggressive body kit, with the same rear diffuser and large wheels, 21 inch in size in this case, with 20 and 22 inch also available.
The Range Rover Evoque modified by Startech is also packing a new suspension with lowering springs which are lowering the ride height by 35 mm and for an “interesting” sound, the aftermarket specialists have fitted the SUV with a new exhaust system. Last but not least, the tuners at Startech have developed a performance package for the 2.0 liter petrol engine but there’s no word yet on the HP and torque numbers and the aftermarket specialists are probably keeping it a surprise for now.

Rides : Check Out The Range Rover Evoque by Khan Design

Range Rover Evoque by Khan Design

The British aftermarket specialists at Khan Design have taken on a new project, in the shape of the new Range Rover Evoque, which has been upgraded visually.
The creations of the British tuner are mainly appreciated among celebrities and wealthy people and Khan Design is taking advantage of this. Being specialized in modifying crossovers, the aftermarket specialists have proven once again that exclusivity doesn’t come cheap and, in this case, the newest Range Rover model, the Evoque, has received a special treatment.
According to the British tuners at Khan Design, the Range Rover Evoque, or Kahn Evoque as it was named, comes with a new suspension which has lowered the height ride by 35 mm. The brake calipers have been painted in orange, just like the roof, and the pedals have been replaced with new ones made out of aluminum. Kahn Design says that every body panel can be painted in whatever way its future customers want.
Even if the exterior modifications seem to be light, Kahn Design is promising modified interiors, starting from the light color gauges and ending with the leather upholstery. Optionally, its future customers will be able to order RS600 rims in sizes up to 22 inch. The British tuner didn’t provide an official price for its newest creation, but you can be sure that it won’t come cheap.
