Mercedes B-Class – first official image revealed

After teasing us with interior pictures of the new B-Class, Mercedes-Benz has decided that it’s time to present an official image of the five-door compact car’s exterior.
The second generation of the B-Class is set to become an iconic car in its segment and its length grew by 86 mm, to 4.359 mm, while it lost some of its height.
The new B-Class generation will be powered by a new 1.6 liter unit which will deliver 122 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque for the entry-level B 180, while in the B 200 the engine will develop 156 HP and 250 Nm.
Diesel lovers will be able to choose from two units, with the B 180 CDI which is offering 109 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque from a 1.8 liter, four-cylinder engine, while the B 200 CDI version has 136 HP and 300 Nm.
A powerful AMG version of the new B-Class was also announced by the German automaker but details about it will probably remain a surprise until the car will be close to hitting the showrooms.
