for Zedd’s “Stache” evokes images of “Call of Duty” and “Mortal Kombat”
combined with a little bit of Dexter’s Laboratory. The track, however,
is solid gold. The glitchy electronic chords nod their head to theme
songs from our favorite video games, while a hard-hitting beat and
climatic buildups create a musical storyline in this unexpectedly lively
track. Just released on his new album, “Clarity,” “Stache” is one of
those rare instrumental gems every DJ should keep in his personal file
of favorites.
