AraabMuzik shot in robbery attempt, confirmed to be ‘alive and well’

Hip-hop producer, DJ, and recent Ultra performer, AraabMuzik, has been shot and wounded during a robbery attempt on Thursday, moments after he announced that he would be playing at Electric Daisy Carnival. After his manager, DukeDaGod, posted a photo of the artist in the hospital to his Instagram, and a friend tweeted about the robbery, Araab’s camp made an official statement to Billboard, confirming that he is “currently alive and well.”

“Rumors have begun to circulate and first and foremost, we want to let everyone know that AraabMUZIK is currently alive and well. He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can.”

ARAABMUZIK TO WORK WITH SKRILLEX AND DIPLO ON NEW ALBUM

 Hip Hop producer AraabMUZIK has teamed up with a whole host of dance music artists for his latest album, including Diplo, Skrillex and Zeds Dead.
The producer, famed for his impressive ability for live beat making, said of the collaborations in an interview with Billboard: "My dream has come true with everyone that I want to work with. It's a good place to be in, production-wise!"
The producer also went on to suggest that he saw a future for himself in scoring.
"I've scored commercials but not actual movies yet. That's something that I kind of want to get into… in the future when I have more time, though."
A release date for the album, which will also feature LA dubstep producer 12th Planet, hasn't been revealed yet but the producer will also release a remix album through Ultra Records early next year.
