Kicks : Air Jordan 1 Retro High GS Canvas – Black – Alarming Red

Air Jordan 1 Retro High GS Canvas Black Alarming Red
Many Jordan Brand GS releases are tailored toward girls but here’s one that should be a hit for anyone who can fit in the grade school-sized run.  This new Air Jordan 1 Retro Canvas comes in a mid of dark denim-like textiles, a rinsed black serving as the overlay to what could very well be its own insides turned out.  So with the Alarming Red accents, this pair of AJ1 Retros offers a street-friendly take on the classic Chicago Bulls look that evokes so many cherished springtime memories.  Click through to see more shots and grab a pair of these from select JB retailers like FinishLine.

Kicks : Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Homer Simpson’ Custom

Nike Air Force 1 Mid Homer Simpson Custom
Homer Simpson is a simple man. Tease him with a sprinkled, pink-frosted donut and he’ll believe anything you say (except for the existence for an alleged magical animal that produces pork, bacon, and ham). Homer is one of iconic television characters of the last two decades, one that taught us that we all have a little Homer Simpson inside of us, and what better way (for a sneakerhead) to express the inner ‘D’oh!’? Nike SB already graced us with an SB Dunk Low inspired by Homer Jay’s classic outfit, but check out this Nike Air Force 1 Mid custom by Pimp My Kicks that draws upon Homer’s cartoonish nature and love of pastries; the colors used represent all-things-Homer, like the grey toe-guard for his shoes, the yellow toe-box for his skintone, the blue heel for his slacks, and the pink lace-placket that features its own sprinkle toppings. On the heel is Homer’s face, stuffed with his favorite dessert, although we’re certain there is no wrong time for Homer to eat a donut. Check out the detailed images below and let us know what you think. via SF.

Kicks : Air Jordan VII Retro ‘Year of the Rabbit’ – New Images

Air Jordan VII Retro Year of the Rabbit New Images

Sneakers celebrating Chinese New Year tend to release around the holiday each February, but the Year of the Rabbit will continue through early 2012.  It seems like a long time to wait, but at least we know the Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘YOTR’ will drop before the Mayan calendar ends.  In these new photos, we get a better sense for how the grey/white base looks in everyday lighting conditions, something that’s particularly important for seeing the true shades of red and gold accents that give this upcoming release a distinct character when compared to the similar AJ7 ‘Hare’.

Kicks : Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Taylor Steele

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Taylor Steele
Taylor Steele’s Poor Specimen production company has created over twenty movies, music videos and TV shows, most of which revolve around his love of surfing.  He’s not Jack Johnson or anything, but from the looks of Steele’s Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke, we’d have to assume he also has a thing for Gibson guitar(s) (cases).  At least, that’s what looking at his 1of1 AF1s would remind most sneakerheads, their oiled brown leather uppers and two toned gum sole bearing a striking resemblance to 2008′s Dunk Low Premium SB ‘Gibson’.  That combination is impeccable but Steele went a bit further, applying a custom swirly graphic (inspired by a ripcurl, perhaps?) on the lateral heel, dubrae and hangtag, with a red sockliner and tongue finishing things off with an aggressive punch.  Click through to get a better look and be sure to let us know how these rank against the other AF1 Bespokes we’ve profiled here on Sneaker News.  via Surfbang

Kicks : Nike Air Max Fly By – Amar’e Stoudemire Away PE

Nike Air Max Fly By Amare Stoudemire Away PE
The New York Knicks have gone from cellar dwellers to serious contenders and with their latest trade seem poised to challenge the East’s elite for the conference championship.  But before Carmelo and Mr. Big Shot joined the new look Knicks, it was Amare Stoudemire who made basketball at Madison Square Garden relevant for the first time since the Van Gundy era.  The Mecca of Basketball is once again among the hottest tickets in sports, as are the Knicks’ road games where you might get a glimpse of Stoudemire’s Nike Air Max Fly By away PE.  These joints use black in place of the home pair’s white sections to provide the visitor aesthetic and remind us that similarly colored Air Jordan Melo PEs can’t be too far off.  Click through to see more of Amare’s latest AM Fly By and stick with Sneaker News for the latest Nike Basketball player exclusives.
