Rides : Check out The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo (Video)

[VIDEO] Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo gets explained by Design Boss
The Porsche Design boss Michael Mauer is explaining the highlights of the new Panamera Sport Turismo, after the model has seen daylight for the first time during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
The newest creation signed by Porsche, the Panamera Sport Turismo, is rumored to get a production version thanks to its “warm welcome” received by the public at the Paris Motor Show last week and in order to put the model into everyone’s attention once again, the company has released a new official video with the Director Style Michael Mauer explaining the highlights of the exterior and interior design.

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is powered by a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 engine, helped by an electric motor and a 9.4 kWh Li battery, which is producing a total output of 416 horsepower (306 kW). This is enough to allow the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds. Thanks to its hybrid powertrain, the Panamera Sport Turismo is burning less than 3.5 liters of fuel every 100 km (67.2 mpg US / 80.7 mpg UK) and it’s emitting just 82 g/km of CO2. The vehicle is finished in a Luquid Metal Blue and it has LED headlights, a carbon fiber rear spoiler and ventilated front fenders.

Car Porn : Porsche gets sideways in new Panamera GTS

The claw hammer isn't a particularly beautiful piece of equipment. With it's flat face and curved, pointed tail, the tool is about as ungainly as it gets, but engineers have left the design unchanged for over 500 years. Why? Because it works, and there's beauty in functionality. That in and of itself is enough to make the tool a favorite among carpenters the world over, and that same logic is what makes the Porsche Panamera so damn perfect in our book. Yes, it's ugly, but you know what? We couldn't care less. In fact, the sports sedan's awkward proportions only serve to help it carve out an even larger spot in our collective hearts.

The Panamera GTS that recently debuted at the 2011 LA Auto show certainly isn't any more attractive than its siblings, but it does pack a full 430 horsepower from a naturally-aspirated V8 engine, a seven-speed PDK gearbox and all-wheel drive. Remember what we said about functionality? This piece of kit will handily dispatch any task you throw its way, and it will do it with three friends and their gear in tow. Hit the jump to watch Porsche have some fun with the newest member of the family.

Making its world premiere at the 2011 L.A. Autoshow, the new Panamera GTS is the purest interpretation of our sports car for four. Witness its amazing performance in this video or click on http://www.porsche.com/panamera-gts

Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo and Panamera Turbo models have been fitted with two power kits, all new from Techart. The kits can boost power to some impressive numbers.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo kit, called the TA 058/T2, puts out enough power to cut the 0-62 time down by a half a second to 4.2 seconds. It comes with new turbos, manifolds, and sport air filter. Carbon fiber accents have also been added around the motor for visual effect.
Techart’s Porsche Panamera Turbo kit also includes Techart turbos and air filter, and bring the motor up to a power output of 630-hp, with 649 lb-ft of torque. The 0-62mph time is dropped to 3.7 seconds on this version.
