ARRESTS MADE FOLLOWING CLUB FIRE IN BRAZIL

ARRESTS MADE FOLLOWING CLUB FIRE IN BRAZIL Brazilian police have made four arrests in connection to the tragic nightclub fire that killed 230 people.
Reports suggest that the blaze was started by pyrotechnics on stage. Upon discovery of the fire many failed to escape, inhaling a deadly amount of toxic fumes.
It is presumed that the three men taken in custody include the owners of the nightclub venue and members of the band playing when the fire occurred.
Rodrigo Martin's band, Gurizada Fandangueira was performing at the student club at the time of the fire. He told local media outlet, Radio Gaucha: "We had played around five songs when I looked up and noticed the roof was burning. It might have happened because of the Sputnik, the machine we use to create a luminous effect with sparks. When the fire started, a guard passed us a fire extinguisher, and our singer tried to use it but it wasn't working".
Hold tight for more news on this as we receive it.

NFL : Dallas Cowboy Jerry Brown Dead, Teammate Josh Brent Charged With Intoxication Manslaughter

It's been a bad year for the NFL.
Josh Brent
Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent was arrested today on charges of intoxication manslaughter after driving when a one-car accident occurred early this morning in Irving, Texas. The accident killed his teammate Jerry Brown, a linebacker on the Cowboys practice squad. Both Matt Barrie of NBC 5 in Dallas and Ian Rapoport of NFL.com have confirmed the story.
This is not Brent's first brush with the law over drunk driving. In 2009 Brent served jail time after getting a DUI while he was a student at the University of Illinois. Brown also attended Illinois where he was a college teammate of Brent's.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of this accident and the passing of Jerry Brown. At this time, our hearts and prayers and deepest sympathies are with the members of Jerry's family and all of those who knew him and loved him."

Police officers in San Leandro, Calif., collect evidence after a shooting outside a Wal-Mart left one Black Friday shopper critically injured.
A Black Friday shopper who collapsed at a West Virginia shopping center — and later died — went virtually unnoticed by others racing to snatch up early-bird sales.
Walter Vance, 61, of Logan County, W. Va., was shopping for Christmas decorations around 12:15 a.m. at a Target in South Charleston, W. Va., when he got sick and fell to floor, local news station WSAZ reported.
Witnesses said shoppers continued walking around the store, some even stepping over the man's body.
An emergency room nurse who was among those shopping eventually found Vance and began administering CPR. She was assisted by an off-duty paramedic who was also at the store.
An ambulance was called and Vance was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died, the news station reported.
Friends said, Vance, who was the owner of a Aracome Drug Company store in Chapmanville, had heart problems for years and underwent open heart surgery in 2000.
But the way he died outraged friends.
"Where is the good Samaritan side of people?" Vance's co-worker Sue Compton told WSAZ. "How could you not notice someone was in trouble? I just don't understand if people didn't help what their reason was, other than greed because of a sale."
It wasn't the only tragedy to strike on Black Friday.
The shopping day took a chaotic turn for the worse at a Walmart in Porter Ranch, Calif., where a woman pepper sprayed a crowd of shoppers waiting to get their hands on a display of discounted X-box 360 game sets.
The woman eventually surrendered to police.
There were also reports of gun shots fired at a mall in Fayetteville, N.C., and a shooting outside a store in San Leandro, Calif., that left one shopper critically injured, the Associated Press reported.

Spanish bullfighter Juan Jose Padilla could lose his vision after a dangerous run-in with a bull.

A bull brutally gored a matador in Spain on Friday, tearing through the man's jaw and pushing out his eyeball as spectators watched in horror.
"I can't see, I can't see anything," Juan Jose Padilla, 39, shouted as he was rushed out of the ring while bleeding profusely and cupping his protruding eye.
The 1,120-pound animal had chased the bullfighter and pinned him to the ground, goring him after he tripped. Television images caught the horrifying scene.
The bull, named Marques, was the second fighting beast Padilla had faced during the second day of the annual Virgen del Pilar festivities in Zaragoza.
Padilla was rushed to emergency facilities at the Misericordia bullring before being driven to the hospital.
A statement from the Miguel Servet Hospital said he was in a stable condition after a five-hour operation to repair his face.
The hospital said Padilla was likely to suffer facial paralysis and lose sight in one eye.
The hospital said he suffered eye, bone, muscle and skin damage when the bull pinned him to the ground. Surgeons had not been able to repair a severed facial nerve.
Surgeons used titanium plates and mesh to reconstruct parts of Padilla's face.
