The new generation of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is now available in Gran Turismo 5.

After it was officially presented to the public during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit just last week, the new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette is ending up in our news once again, this time with some gaming help. If you’re a fan of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray you have come to the right place because the carmaker has released a new video with the sports car, which is now available in Gran Turismo 5.
As a quick reminder, the new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is powered by the LT1 6.2 liter V8 engine, with CVVT and direct injection. The carmaker says that the “heart” of the new Corvette is “pumping” 450 BHP (336 kW) and 609 Nm of torque (450 lb-ft), which are helping the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 4 seconds. More details on the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be announced close to its launch. Meanwhile, you can check out the model in Gran Turismo 5 below.

Everyone's got their favorite superheroes, and their reasons for liking them. Ours drive cool cars. Comic-book-turned-big-screen do-gooders like Batman (and his mild-mannered alter-ego Bruce Wayne) and Iron Man (Tony Stark). That's just one of the reasons we're stoked for The Driver.

The animated series-in-the-making centers around a mysterious vigilante who chases down criminally reckless drivers on the streets of Los Angeles, and a shutterbug sidekick who follows him around as he puts the baddies to shame in Gorillaz-style animation. It's shaping up to be as car-obsessed as the best of us, and after launching the first trailer back in April of 2010, the creators have now (the better part of two years later) released some additional footage. Rides : Gaming - Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Limited Edition launched

The North American based automotive giant Chrysler has recently launched a new limited edition of the Jeep Wrangler, named Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in an estimated 10 million USD ad campaign for the model, being also the second consecutive year when Jeep has signed a partnership with Activision on product placement in a video game (Call of Duty, Black Ops).

“Well, a Jeep certainly isn’t an impulse purchase. But the extremely hardcore video gamers are a curious bunch. For me, personally, I wouldn’t want any video game stuff on my car. But some retailers just mistakenly released (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3) by accident and some people were able to buy it early, and those discs are being resold on Ebay for $1.700. That’s $1.700 just to play it a few days earlier than anybody else. So, yeah, I could see some of the video game fans buying one of these new Jeeps just for the marking”, said the editor-in-chief of San Francisco-based Game Developer magazine, Brandon Sheffield.

According to the car manufacturer, the two-door Call of Duty special edition Wrangler has a suggested retail price of $36.495 but Jeep or Chrysler didn’t officially announce any details on the engine range, performance or “goodies” found on the new model.

Gaming : Why is Nintendo going to the LA Auto Show?

The LA Auto Show is less than two weeks away, which means every automaker that will be in attendance is putting the finishing touches on what their executives will say during their respective press conferences. It goes the same for each automaker: An exec will talk about sales numbers, maybe brag about some newly bestowed industry award, and then a new concept or production model will be rolled out. There is one company, however, that will likely do none of that.

If you look over the official list of press conferences for the LA Auto Show, you'll discover that Nintendo has a spot near the end of the second day. Now, companies not endemic to the auto industry have hopped up on soap boxes during auto shows before, but none from any industry we hold so dear to our hearts as video games.

What could Nintendo possibly have to say or show? We don't know. There's speculation that Nintendo could be getting into the business of automotive infotainment, but we've seen no evidence to support this hypothesis. Since Nintendo hasn't leased any space at the show, MotoworldHype guesses that it might announce some kind of partnership with an OEM. Whatever it is, Nintendo is remaining tight-lipped, saying only, "We'll have more info coming soon, but nothing more to announce at this time."

It looks like Jeep and Activision Publishing are continuing their successful partnership, placing battlefield-ready Wranglers in the Call of Duty video game series and selling a real-life version to gamers who wish to shuttle themselves to and fro in rough-and-tumble off-road-ready opulence.

For those unaware, there's a new version of the video game series heading to store shelves in short order, and Jeep is wasting no time showing its own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wrangler to the public.

Interestingly, Jeep decided to bring out its COD 3 Wrangler for the first time at the 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise, sporting all manner of specific gaming paraphernalia; such as new front and rear bumpers (the rear one holds water), mesh reliefs in the hood, flat black wheels with large, blocky tires and large metal emblems.
